Final Paint

By Ron Porter
Sunday, June 10, 2007

Well, I finally finished the painting! I didn't finish it last year because we were too busy using the boat. I've been trying to get to it this spring, but the combination of weather and other work kind of slowed things down. As you can see, I'll have to do something about the bird's nest under the dash. I'm thinking of putting a door on.

I also got some varnishing done on all the handrails. We had rain in the morning and that prevented me from getting more than one coat this week-end, but I'll keep plugging away.

I'm really hoping that next week-end will see official completion so I can get back on the water. If I launch before completion again, I'll never get it finished!
